Do you remember the bentART opening nights? Help us recreate that buzz at The Peacock Lounge.
The Peacock Lounge is our Sunday event for the Blue Mountains Pride June Weekend. We are presenting this in partnership with bentART. It will be the perfect way to enjoy your Sunday afternoon. From 3pm until 7pm we will be relaxing to the cool grooves of MISSMKDJ (Mary Kiani, Diva of the 90’s), catching up with friends and making new ones, and maybe a bit of dancing. Come and strut your stuff.
While this is a licensed venue, being the Katoomba RSL, the drinks will be more affordable.

Miss MK DJ
Introducing the one, the only – Miss MK DJ… known to many as Mary Kiani.
Mary is an international, chart-topping diva of the 90s, with an incredible eight Top 40 hits to her name. Mary has lit up stages across the globe for over four decades. A true icon of feel-good music, she’s spent a lifetime not just performing for the crowd… but living in it. Because when Mary steps off the stage – she heads straight to the dance floor. That’s where the magic happens.
Mary Kiani, or just Mary, the DJ – takes you on a journey through some of the best music. From smooth cocktail grooves… to head-nodding, toe-tapping funk. She may even tempt you to have a little dance. Expect the very best of the 70s, 80s… and yes, maybe a little taste of the 90s. Classic anthems, reimagined gems, and irresistible beats – all delivered with her signature sparkle. And maybe a touch of bongos.
Raffle
We will be holding a raffle to be drawn during the afternoon of The Peacock Lounge. We have a fabulous array of prizes. Tickets are $8 or 4 for $25 and will be available at the Disco Snack Bar and at The Peacock Lounge. Winners will be drawn at The Peacock Lounge, and winners will be contacted.
Keith Rowe has donated one of his beautiful glass bowls. Keith is a glass artist with a gallery and workshop in Blackheath.
Keith’s work is held in many private and public galleries in Australia and internationally. Over the years Keith has developed unique styles to his glass blowing, more often than not, working in a series/body of works.
Helen Shields is a contemporary multidisciplinary artist living and working on Gundungurra and Darug lands in the upper Blue Mountains. She holds qualifications in Chemistry, Fine Arts, Education and Design. Her practice explores the dynamics of colour and the reiteration of simplified organic motifs, encompassing drawing, painting, sculpture, collage and fabric design.
This work Garden Series 1 is from a series of three, recently exhibited in Kyoto Province, Japan.
Diana Lee-Gobbit, a Suffolk-born multimedia artist. Having lived in New Zealand she now calls Windsor home.
Diana has been exhibiting since the early 1960’s and still creates exciting art to this day. Her art practice takes on many forms including painting, collage and photography.
The artist has over 60 group and solo exhibitions to her credit and has works in public, corporate, trust and private collections in NZ, Australia and England.
This work is titled Transient Thresholds.
The Victoria & Albert Guesthouse in Mt Victoria has donated a $100 voucher that can be used towards accommodation or a meal.
Built in 1868 the Hotel has been running for over 150 years. It has been restored beautifully, from the dining rooms to the public areas and the individual rooms. The peacock themed restaurant has a great menu for you to enjoy. Or join the V&A crew for a themed evening.
